Boxing Day

Posted under Personal

A picture from the party with Heidi’s family (sorry I didn’t take pictures with Tony’s family because I forgot my camera at Tony’s car, and it was raining that day)

Is the Matrix? Nope, is Tony, Heidi and me

Heidi's family and some extra people :)

… and Boxing Day (another holiday) which turned into a cricket match with my new gift: a cricket set!

Roberto playing cricket completely clueless

It seems easy: hit the ball and run like hell!

Everybody in the family were so nice with me

Feliz Navidad!

Posted under Personal

Merry Christmas everybody! Being so far from home, I spent such a great Christmas eve party and Christmas day lunch with Heidi and Tony and their families. Being a foreigner has its advantages :)

Furthermore, tomorrow is Boxing Day (another holiday) so I will spend it with Catherine and James. So, the party isn’t still over.

Christmas shopping

Posted under Chronicles of Australia

Last weekend I went to city for some Christmas shopping, yeah there was a lot of people! But there are some many stores in Pitt Street that people is more or less evenly distributed so the fitting rooms aren’t overcrowded :)

Also I took some pictures of a replica of the Duyfken, the first European ship to see Australia. Actually, it is so small, I mean, how could a dozen of men spend months and months in such a small ship? I got almos sick traveling in tourist class from Mexico!!

Sydney webcam

Posted under Chronicles of Australia

If you haven’t noticed yet now I have a live webcam of Sydney. Yeah I do have a live webcam of the harbour and even better you can move the camera!! What? That I stole the camera from The Rocks website? How do you dare to accuse me…? OK yeah I did, and? What are you going to do about that? Deport me? :)

Whatever, if you want to see the camera just click the Sydney webcam link, and you’re going to need Java since it is an applet.

Results

Posted under Personal

Yesterday I got my results from Macquarie University, actually a bit lower than expected but Catherine says that they’re actually very good marks; and she’s one of the smartest persons I know, so I believe her (no sarcasm in here, she can be crazy, can set her GTalk state to “fuck off” and can wear a beanie with ears, but she’s smart :)). Usually I don’t keep my results private so here it goes:

  • Software Development Process - Credit
  • Security and Risk Management - Distinction
  • System and Network Security - Credit
  • Object Oriented Technology - High Distinction

Catherine says that my GPA is 3.5, I’m not sure how to calculate that but then it means I’m doing well.
