I am Roberto Arias Alegria

Posted under Personal

I was just doing a quick scan of keywords in my blog and I just realised my name in Google is dropping some positions, also I see that I never post my own name (Roberto Arias Alegria for those who don’t know my full name, and yeah those are two surnames) in here, so the purpose of this post is simply for the search engines to find it and associate it with my name.

Sydney vs Melbourne

Posted under Chronicles of Australia

Well there are many people discussing what’s better: Melbourne or Sydney. Now I’ve been in both and is very difficult to make my mind, Melbourne is like more European while Sydney has the ultra-modern air, maybe a bit American. Anyway, I found a fundamental difference in public transport, that you can see below:

Pictures from the trip

Posted under Chronicles of Australia, Trips

Finally the pictures from the trip! 146 photos for your delight (actually I took more than 200, so don’t complain). I organise it in three albums: Melbourne, Great Ocean Road and Adelaide.

I will post some comments about the trip later :) But I just want to show you the picture of Joe, one of the masterminds behind the famous Roboguy (and see what Melburnians do with libraries).

I’m back

Posted under Chronicles of Australia, Trips

Last seven days were awesome, Melbourne has an incredible architecture everywhere, there are heaps of cafes around the city and the free tram is so great. I had the opportunity of meeting Joe there, he’s as funny as his pictures :D And I discovered he owns an Alfa-Romeo! Then we traveled the Great Ocean Road and have a good time in Adelaide, which compared to Sydney is like a small town (but is not!).

Details and pictures will appear here in the following days, as soon as I can finish some job stuff.

Tomorrow I’m flying to Melbourne (finally!) for four days, and after that to Adelaide for another three days, I’ll be back the 19th :)

Expect heaps of pictures!

Still in here

Posted under Chronicles of Australia

Yep I’m still kicking around here, just I’ve had a very busy week with the job, which is not bad because I work per hour (no!, I’m not a sex worker, I’m a programmer!)

Walking around the Customs House I took some interesting pictures inside, there is a cool scale model of Sydney CBD.

Guess where am I?

Giants Canadians attacking the city!

Customs House, don't run, is now a nice library/cafeteria/exposition centre

Hyde Park fountain. Someone feels sorry for the minotaurus?
