Chronicles of AustraliaThe Earth Hour took place yesterday at 8:00 pm in Sydney and many cities around the world. The objective was to turn off, for one hour, as many lights as possible in the city. Of course saving power for one hour does not do much for cutting carbon emissions but the real objective is raise awareness about global warming and using clean energy sources, as well as save to the most the use of electricity.
I went with some friends to the Opera Bar to see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House being turned off. Consequently, it was a bit difficult to take a picture of the bridge, considering it has no lights. Although not the entire city went dark, just the major buildings.

Chronicles of Australia,
TripsI went to the Melbourne Grand Prix over the weekend and it was awesome! The cars are extremely fast and loud, but the event was great and there are good things to see in Albert Park. The weather in Melbourne was extremely hot and humid, like a bad day in Villahemosa. I’ll put pictures and videos (because it was nearly impossible to catch the cars on still camera) very soon.

Chronicles of AustraliaNo, this is not a post about chess (which I haven’t played in a while, oh wait, yeah I played on Qantas, ahh boring long trip), this is about the Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth 2. The big ships were in town a couple of weeks ago and, of course I was in there to take pictures. I wasn’t the only one, it seems people in this city is very curious about visitors.
I took interesting pictures and I liked the almost clear skies. I hope to one day hop on one of those ships, just to see how it’s like unnecessary waste money.
