Chronicles of AustraliaIn case you don’t know it, the World Youth Day was taking place in Sydney this week, it finished today with a massive mass at Randwick. I had the opportunity to see the pope close to my office in the city and I put the video in YouTube of course. Interesting, Catholic Church is moving into web 2.0, and the official site have podcasts, video casts and even the pope was sending text messages to the pilgrims. I heard there was a social site around as well. Are we going to have CatholicTube soon? What about a RSS news site such as “SlashCross… news for sinners, holy stuff that matters” (no I’m serious, that might work).

Chronicles of AustraliaI just put in Flickr some pictures of The Rocks Aroma Festival, where coffee, chocolate and spices are together for your delight. I loved the Chocolatier’s boulevard, actually I didn’t waste time in coffee, I went straight to the desserts… and the belly dancer in the Turkish food. And there was a very good band playing international music, the violinist was quite cool.
Oh yeah and I found this picture on George Street, in my way to the Rocks. In here Sydney was described as “… a place distinguished for the practice of every debauchery and villainy”. Now I know why this city is famous with the tourists.

IT Channel,
PersonalApparently 2.69 kg, which is the weight of my new Toshiba A300! Actually I bought a A200 but there were two dead pixels!I was very unhappy and the bloody Toshiba says that no less than five pixels are necessary to enact the warranty. Fortunately the guys of OfficeWorks accepted to exchange it without hassles. The only problem is that it was an offer and there were no more in stock. So I ended up buying the newest model. Welcome to the family Toshiba.
