London

Posted under Chronicles of the United Kingdom, Trips

For those still following this blog, I haven’t really forgotten it, but Twitter is now more practical! Well in short I’m still in the UK. Since the last post I went to Germany, France, Denmark, Poland, Singapore (back so quickly), Australia (oi oi oi), Belgium, Germany again, crossed the border a few hours into the Czech Republic and Spain. So stay tuned for new exciting updates.

Bicentennial

Posted under Chronicles of the United Kingdom

This is Roberto reporting back for duty at the blog. OK I’ve been quite busy last months, especially with the number of events, museums and other activities that you can find in London. This city is really great for entertainment.

And one of such events was the Bicentennial of the Mexican Independence, and as good Mexican I attended a party in London. Unfortunately I didn’t have a day off next day. I have a video in YouTube and a few pictures in my flickr stream.

Two months later…

Posted under Chronicles of the United Kingdom

Two months later, I’m still in London, I haven’t been deported yet, which, as a Mexican, is always a good thing.

If you wonder where I’ve been that I’ve neglected my blog, well watching the World Cup of course. It was awful to see Australia, England and Mexico being kicked out (places where I’ve been working, but don’t make any funny connections please, everything was the handiwork of Paul the Octopus), but overall a good world cup.

If you ask me London is great, is truly the most cosmopolitan city you can imagine, you hear all kind of accents and you can meet all sort of people from every corner of the world. It’s a like a big zoo :-)

OK just wanted to say hello to the people that read my blog, and expect regular news from now on. Or maybe when the Summer is over.

UK

Posted under Chronicles of the United Kingdom

I have almost a week in the UK and things are going good so far. I went to my first day at my work today and I arrived 45 minutes late, because of “severe delays” in the tube, thank you London. I’m quite a Londoner now: I already got visits from overseas, I hate the tube, I check the weather report every 20 minutes, I complain about the government but still I think this is a great city to live… for a while.

Expect more news about the UK later in the week when I’m finally settled up. Also a couple of weeks ago I went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but I haven’t had time to upload pictures, give me some time and you’ll see all the photos.
