OK you’ve heard the news: I’m moving to London! On the 5th of May to be precise. I managed to secure a contract with a company called Prism Entertainment, and after a few interviews on the phone and skype (don’t you love technology?), they extended the offer. I was very surprised considering I was overseas, maybe Britons just like Latin accents

So far so good, last week has been quite of a roller-coaster but interesting and exciting plans are lying ahead. I would have liked to stay a bit longer in Southeast Asia to travel but hopefully I can come back soon for holidays. To be honest, although London was the original plan after Sydney, I don’t regret chaning my plans and coming to this country.

I know many people didn’t think I would make it to the UK, considering the recession and the job market. I’m very glad they didn’t, because that made me try harder again and again, despite the obstacles. As Mr. Confucious said: “it does not matter how slowly you go, so long as you do not stop”.

Alright, I’m on the Northern (read “normal”) hemisphere again. After Australia I went to the US. First to Dallas where I met Kim after a couple of years, and that was awesome, even when it was quite cold. Then I went to Houston which is a cool city but probably the most exciting things over there are the shops and the Space Centre. I’ll put pictures (and videos) of NASA later, it was absolute awesome. I think I liked Dallas a bit more anyway.

Now I’m in Mexico, for the following 30 days. The plan at the moment is to get a job in Singapore in these 4 weeks. I might move to the UK in mid-2010 and then maybe trying Denmark. Ultimately, I want to come back to Australia in a not too distant future.

Well I’m back in Sydney, it was a very long trip. The longest trip that I’ve ever done, I went around the world in just 33 days (beat that Phileas Fogg!). Seven airports, eight flights and lot of low-quality food, but I made my way to Mexico. It was good to be with family and friends again, and I spent such a good time in Villahermosa.

Unfortunately my luggage was delayed in LA, which wouldn’t be that bad until I discovered there were missing items in my luggage! Bloody Qantas or Mexicana (it was a codeshare flight Mexico City – LA) or the US Transportation Security Administration. Whoever it was, they took some things from my luggage, since one of the items was a gift from my mom I already complained with Qantas and I’ll call them tomorrow. LA airport was so chaotic that I’m almost sure the items were stolen there. Well it’s LA after all, what can I expect.
